Sky House Hawaii – Food Forest Project

This project was done at an Aunties land Big Island, Hawaii in 2019 and included almost 100 tropical fruit Trees as well as an understory of Kabocha squash, Pigeon Pea, Green Tea, Mamaki, Yerba Mate, and tropical herbs.

The new orchard included a new Citrus Orchard with Cara Cara Oranges, Moro Blood Orange, Navel Oranges, Kaffir Limes, Finger Limes, Meyer Lemons, Calamondin Lime, Honey Tangerines, Dwarf Yuzu, Tahitian Lime, and Finger Lime. The orchard also included a tropical fruit tree collection of Improved Mulberries, Bananas, Papayas, Malabar Chestnuts, Achacha, Jackfruit, Miracle Berry, Cacao, White Loquat, Surinam Cherry, Abiurama, Garcinia Dulsis, Morang, Mountain Apple, Fingersop, Lychee, Figs, Dragon Fruit, Soursop, Ulu, Canistel, Rollinia and Keitt Mango.

I would like to thank Aunty L for covering the cost of the trees and materials, Raebo for support, mentoring, Dino at Organic Matters for the Soil and organic compost, Adam at Aina Exotics for the Citrus & Bananas, Uncles at Maku’u market for Herbs, Mamaki, Yerba and Cacao Trees, Coconut Chris for rare fruit Trees, Jeff S. for the rare fruit Trees.
