Grown on Starks Road, SSI.
1-2ft high. Healthy, vigorous seedling trees

We are planting 50 of these at the farm this year.
I have extra trees available for the community.
Our goal is to get 100 planted across Saltspring Island this winter.

Highly nutritious and delicious nuts,
Excellent tree to support wildlife.
black walnuts are native to Canada.

Varieties:
Heartnut, Black Walnut, English Walnut
Heartnuts are walnuts shaped like hearts
Black walnuts are incredibly hardy with harder-to-crack shells.
English walnuts are traditional walnuts you find in store.

Growing Details:

Latin Name Juglans spp.
Pollination Requirements: Partially Self-fertile. Plant more than 1 for optimal production
Soil and Sun Preferences: Half to full sun, well-drained.
Years to Fruiting (average): 5- 10 years
Eventual Size: 40 plus feet

Recommend minimum 25ft Spacing between trees.
