Freestyle Hawaii Vegan Soup Recipe

This post is part of my journal of my time back on the Big Island of Hawaii. Hawaii is a beautiful place that speaks to my soul and my intention is to become healthier, happier, and stronger while helping friends plant epic food forests. In this time my goal is to go Vegan for 5 months anddiscover the pearls of wisdom from my mentors on the big island.

This week I made an epic Vegan Soup with Green Papaya and Kobucha Squash, all grown on the land.

Here is the recipe.

  • 1 Cup Lentils
  • 1/2 Cup Mung Beans
  • Sauteed Onions
  • One Kobucha Squash*
  • One Green Papaya*
  • Tumeric*
  • Carrots
  • Onion
  • Rosemary*
  • Chili *
  • Salt Spring Island Garlic
  • Himalayan Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper

Everything with a * was grown on the land. The garlic was from Duck Creek Farm on Salt Spring Island. This soup was so nutrient dense It felt like a psychedelic trip. I would definitely make again.
