Alberta Food Forest Installed Fall 2017

Welcome to our Alberta Food Forest. This was our firstPrairie Garden food forest projects. We had the opportunity to put in a small food forest on a beautiful property in Lethbridge Alberta for the Martens family.

The install was started Winter 2016 with 3 loads of awesome Llama manure, Cow Manure and straw mulch and sunflower seeds.  In the Fall of 2017 we returned and installed perennial edibles including cherries, plums, pears, Haskap honey berries, Black Currants, Red Currants and a wind break wall of the medicinal Sea Buckthorn, or “Sea berries” – All of this was planting around the existing annual garden of tomatoes and volunteer sunflowers.
